Good Afternoon,

My company is looking to purchase ISAPI to rewrite the very long URLs on our web pages to improve SEO.

For example, this is a typical URL:

http://www.laboratoryequipment.com/ShowPR.aspx?PUBCODE=020&ACCT=2000000100&ISSUE=0709&RELTYPE=FE&PRODCODE=00000000&PRODLETT=J

Can ISAPI handle the re-write of this URL? What would the process involve? I have checked our server specs and we should be fine. Our servers are running Server 2000 with IIS5.0 and Server 2003 with IIS6.0.

Also, would there be any performance issues with this type of rewrite? I have approximately 16 sites each with several thousand dynamic items. Can the map file hold 10,000 entries, if needed? Will there be a performance hit?

Thanks,
andrea

Long urls are not a problem for ISAPI_Rewrite.
And there is no limitation on the size of map file.
There will not be any substantial performance slump.
