Hi,
I'm currently running MediaWiki, and I need to set it up in such a way that a URL like:
http://www.fantasysquare.com/Final_Fantasy_12

to load the page located at:
http://www.fantasysquare.com/index.php?title=Final_Fantasy_12

May I know the text config for such an application?

Thanks!

- Tim

Just in case anyone gets confused, I'm currently using Linkfreeze and require some config to get my site working properly.

Thanks.

LinkFreeze was not intended to do such transformation. I guess you are asking about ISAPI_Rewrite rule.
Generally transformation you are asking is not possible, because it will be impossible to separate rewritten request form a requests to the real folders. But if you know exactly names of all real folders on your site these folder can be excluded form the rule:

RewriteRule /(?!exclude1|exclude2)([^/?.]+) /index.php\?title=$1 [I,L]

I've already bought the license for LinkFreeze; does that mean that I have bought the wrong software? My host was the one that told me that Linkfreeze will work.

What do I do now? Can the above rule work in the text configuration file format of Linkfreeze?

Will appreciate a solution to this.

Thanks.

LinkFreeze can make your URL look like http://www.fantasysquare.com/index-title-Final_Fantasy_12.htm which is finally be easier and safer for your site since you are not experienced with URL transformation staff. If you still need to have your URL to look exactly as you have requested then it will require some work from your side and usage of ISAPI_Rewrite product. If you want to go this way I will exchange your LinkFreeze license to ISAPI_Rewrite one.

Yes, please do so. I'll need the URL rewrite for Wiki to run properly. Please let me know any additional steps involved.

I appreciate all help with regards to this.

Thank you.

Please write an e-mail to the [email protected] and identify somehow your order of ISAPI_Rewrite and include reference to this topic.
Also I suggest you to install and try ISAPI_Rewrite first. After you will have a working solution you may proceed with license.
