Did anybody have experience installing LinkFreeze latest version on GoDaddy servers? I have a simple hosting plan and interested to use LinkFreeze to optimize links. Any reference to documentation or just few lines will help.

Thank you

Do you mean you want to install LinkFreeze on shared hosting? If yes, it can only be done by someone with Administrator privileges.
BTW, please specify what windows version is used on the server.

How would I know what Godaddy is running? They do not give administrator rights to the hosted customers. I can get in to my hosted account via standard Godaddy interface and manage the account from there (files, R/W permission etc).

Their tech support suggested that you write a manual installation process which the host manager (me) will setup the required directories and procedures, so your DLL can work

They can not allow hosts to access the OS area (C:\, windows\ etc).  They do that only if the customer has a virtual server.

Anton - 95% of the hosted sites are done this way w/o a virtual or dedicated server. Can you fix your software for such environment?

I saw on your site a list of server / companies that support your product in the world – can you send a link back?

The reason I ask about windows version is that is they use win2008 I will suggest you to use Helicon Ape (with its mod_linkfreeze module) as
it can be installed on the shared hosting without administrator.

And here's the list of hostings that have some of our products installed: http://www.helicontech.com/hosting/partners.htm

Anton

I have changed servers from 2003 to 2008 and IIS 6 to IIS7.

I run the URL rewrite and it is working fine - the link changes on the address bar, BUT - the whole screen change its HTML structure and only word are displayed. All the graphic images are gone.

What is going on? What did i do wrong?

Jack

Hello, Jack

"I run the URL rewrite and it is working fine"
- are you talking about ISAPI_Rewrite or LinkFreeze?
What config(s) do you use?
