We are phasing out our sub-domains.

Already have conditions in place that redirect pages
under the existing sub-domains to the same www address.

seattle.domain.com/washington/seattle-
apartments/bellevue-apartments.aspx redirects to
www.domain.com/washington/seattle-apartments/bellevue-
apartments.aspx

However, cannot get correct rule in place to handle
redirecting the sub-domain by itself to a specific www
page.

Examples:

seattle.domain.com redirect to
www.domain.com/washington/seattle.aspx

I'm only concerned with scenario where someone requests
"http://seattle.domain.com" and nothing more. Redirect
that to a specific file on www.domain.com

Hello,

Try using smth like:

Rewriteengine on
RewriteBase /

RewriteCond %{HTTP:Host} ^seattle\.domain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^$ http://www.domain.com/washington/seattle.aspx [NC,R=301,L]

Regards
Andrew
