Hello,

I need to rewrite a the url...

de/ to andother ip address but not perform a redirect. I was told I could do this with a RewriteRule and a P flag... Here is the rule i am trying to setup but it is not working...

RewriteRule    ^de/$ http://212.112.239.67/mediflow/ [NC,P]

... Do you see any reason why this would not work? I am using a shared host, is it possible for them to disable certain features of ISAPI_REWRITE that they do not want clients to use?

Thanks!

Hello,

a)You may need to try using:
Code:
RewriteRule ^/de/$ http://212.112.239.67/mediflow/ [NC,P]

b) Shared hosting may indeed disable the Proxying. So you may run the testing rule:
Code:
RewriteRule .? http://www.google.co.uk [NC,P]

- this will result ANY request to proxy to google.co.uk. If this works, than proxying is enabled, and you need to edit your initial rule.
