Hi having a major problem

Trying to redirect requests to only one of the many sites we have running on a single physical server, using the httpd.conf as follows:

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.mydomain\.com [NC]
RewriteRule /thisfolder /anotherfolder/file.html [NC,P]

But it's failing - can you help please

Why are you trying to do it in httpd.conf?
Do you have Full or Lite version of ISAPI_Rewrite?
What is the error you get?

Please try the following sequence:

- put .htaccess file with the following content into the root of the site:

RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^testtest$ http\://www.google.com [NC,R=301,L]

- enable logging in httpd.conf by putting the following lines in there:

RewriteLogLevel 9
LogLevel debug

- then make a request to www.yoursite.com/testtest and show here the rewrite.log and error.log records you've obtained.
