Hi All

I defined a rule in httpd.ini to transfer  "http://mywebsite.com/Location1" to http://mywebsite.com/location.asp?town=Location1

Below is the rule which is working fine according to my requirements. This  rule checks the locations in collection then redirecting to location.asp page if the locations exist. But still not sure if this is good approach. I have more than hundred locations and using in many rules. I was wondering if there is any way so locations can be stored in .txt file or any other alternative.

RewriteRule /(Location1|Location2|Location3)  /location.asp?town=$1 [I,L]

Many Thanks
tny

" was wondering if there is any way so locations can be stored in .txt file or any other alternative."
- there is such a possibility but only in ISAPI_Rewrite 3.
Here's an article explaining how it works: http://www.helicontech.com/articles/url-rewriting-basics-and-map-files-application/
And the are also some examples in "Conprehensive mapfiles insight" section in our FAQ

Thanks so much Anton for your quick response.
I will upgrade ISAPI_Rewrite 2 so that can get benefit of Rewritemap function in version 3.

Thanks
Tny
