We are trying to migrate from LinkFreeze to APE but so far its not working like we expected. This code here

LinkFreezeRule --- "aspx=htm" [MoveExt]

already breaks the german encoding (,,,..) for no reason (we use php) and if we try

LinkFreezeRule ,,, "php=htm" [MoveExt,AbsLinks,Redirect]

some images are for no reason not displayed at all. Encoding and images work perfectly fine since years on IIS6 with LinkFreeze. We are going to buy APE if these problems can be solved thank you.

Update:

Moving all the images into a folder where

UnsetEnv mod_linkfreeze

is used fixed the problem.

The encoding is still not working Ä by example comes out as ï¿½. Any idea? Thanks.

Please, try to set your German encoding in Content-Type header or in html head tags.

That was always the case :
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />
and Firefox says @ pageinfo

text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1

it instantly works if i delete the ape rule

LinkFreezeRule ,,, "php=htm" [MoveExt,AbsLinks,Redirect]

Somehow my message from yesterday hasn't been posted:

Quote:
To verify the cause of the issue, please, try using the following in the beginning of your php code:

header('content-type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1');
