Hello,

We are running ISAPI Rewrite 3 in a Windows Server 2003
32bits. We are replacing this server with a new one:
Windows Server 2008 R2 64bits.

Q1: Regading licensing, How should we do the replacement?
Installing the software in the new server and re-applying
our Registration code (key)?
Can both servers live with ISAPI Rewrite 3 running while
we complete the migration process?

Q2: I've seen this post
http://www.helicontech.com/forum/forum_posts-TID-
13699.htm regarding problems in R2.
Which are the required steps to successfully install the
product in R2 64bits?

Thanks,
Horacio.-

Hello,

A1: It's quite easy, while you're moving you install trial-45day on WS2008 R2 64bit, after you've
moved, just uninstall old ISAPI_Rewrite and insert the licence key to the new one.

A2: Here's the download link: http://www.helicontech.com/download/fixsnapin.zip

How to use it:

1. download the archive;
2. unzip, there will be 2 folders containing fixes for 32 and 64 bit versions respectively.
3. open the folder you need (as far as i understand you need 64-bit one)
4. from the command prompt run fixsnapin.cmd file (note that SetACL.exe file is a tool that allows
to set permissions in Windows, you don't need to do anything with it, it will run automatically
when you run the .cmd)

Regards
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Many of them failed w/ "Access is denied." (see below).
What should I do?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Andrew.
It was published today? (I've downloaded 69 build
yesterday)
Whatever, with the new 70 build; I still have the "No
properties available for this node." problem on every web
site's root (except on the "IIS Web Sites" root), same as
before (69 build).

Within a site's folder (i.e. mysite.com/App_Code), I get
the right dialog. However, it's needed in the root, not
there.

Just in case: I'm running Windows 2008 R2 64bits. Now
I've installed
http://www.helicontech.com/download/isapi_rewrite/ISAPI_R
ewrite3_0070_x64.msi

Thought?

Many thanks,
Horacio.-

UPDATE: I've uninstalled the product and reinstalled (70
build) from scratch.
Now everything seems to be working fine!

Thanks,
Horacio.-

I have just installed 0086 x64 lite on my server (2008 R2 IIS 7.5) and I still have this problem. Are there any other suggestions?
