You must install 64-bit version of LinkFreeze. The correct version of dll should be registered automatically during installation.
If LinkFreeze doesn't work after installation, please make sure correct version of LinkFreeze dll (32 or 64-bit) is registered in ISAPI filters
tab in IIS.

So you are saying, although I am running IIS in 32 bit mode, that I must install the 64 bit version?

Thanks, James

Exactly. The version of LinkFreeze is dependant on Windows version (32 or 64 bit), not on IIS mode.

Hi

I am having major problems with the stability of my new server and my tech support highly suspect it is related to LinkFreeze.

I have a 64bit server but IIS is running in 32bit mode. I have installed the 64bit version of LinkFreeze which seemed to be OK.

Every now and again (few hours) the IIS Worker Process fails and all my websites go offline. Tech support say that is likely to be at the ISAPI level due to all sites failing at once.

There are numerous errors in the event log including this recent error.....

Inetinfo terminated unexpectedly and the system was not configured to restart IIS Admin. The World Wide Web Publishing Service has shut down.

Are there any known incompatibilities with running the 64 bit version of LinkFreeze on a 32 bit version of IIS ?

This really is urgent to help appreciated asap. Is there anything else I can check for??

Thanks, James

Is it possible to catch this problem with WebDiag tool?
If this is not easy, please provide Application log, specify the build of LinkFreeze you are using.
And also tell the Windows version and installed SPs (if any).

Hi Anton

I host with Rackspace and their top level engineers have been looking into this, they cannot trap the error and have run various diogs. Seems the problem is that the error is something which IIS is dependant on (and so above IIS), which leads to the isapi filters.

The version number is 2.2.0081

Windows Version is Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2
x64 Edition

I can send you the log files for the system & application event viewer where there have been IIS crashes. I cant see that LinkFreeze has its own log files? Please advise. Where should I send the event logs to?

Thanks, james
