Hi

I have added some file and folder exclusions to the config file and these pages are not being served in a rewritten URL form.

However, the links to these pages ARE being rewritten resulting in them not being found when the links are clicked.

I.e. page1.asp is excluded from rewriting but links to the page are being displayed as page1.htm.  Clicking on the link results in a blank page being served.  If I manually type page1.asp into the address bar of the browser it is served correctly.

I have included the config file contents below.

Please can someone help shed some light on what is happening!!

Nathan

Please consider writing links you don't want to freeze in absolute format and use the rule above.

Surely if files are excluded from transformation then any links to these files should be excluded from transformation as well?

Given the fact that Linkfreeze is sold as a site SEO tool (for this purpose the whole point is to have links AND pages transformed) then it seems a bit stupid that excluded files are still referenced by transformed links.

If Linkfreeze cannot do this then are there any plans to implement such a feature?

Can this be acheived in ISAPI rewrite (which we also have a copy of)?

writing links in absolute format isn't really an option to be honest!

I feel that you need to sort your software out......

Dear notconinternet, we have offered you a possible solution. If it is not acceptable for you, it doesn't mean it's not an option.
Please try to use this rule in your LinkFreeze config:

@(?!/admin|/scriptlibrary|/products/document-download.asp|/products/customer-enquiry.asp|/products/customer-enquiry-confirmation.asp|/customer-
account/secure|/products/slide-documents|/poll_manager|/questionnaires|/advhtml_popups).* ~~~ .asp @^(?
!/admin|/scriptlibrary|/products/document-download.asp|/products/customer-enquiry.asp|/products/customer-enquiry-confirmation.asp|/customer-
account/secure|/products/slide-documents|/poll_manager|/questionnaires|/advhtml_popups).* [MoveExt,Redirect]
