I know that ISAPIrewrite will rewrite URLs entered into the web browser or links that are clicked on.  What I would like to know, is can rewrite also change the URLs embedded into pages.

e.g, We have a cold fusion web site. Let's say we output a cold fusion page and it contains a link to www.abc.com/subsite/index.cfm.

However, we do not want search engines to see that URL.

Can ISAPIrewrite replace URLs within the html of a page as its spooled off of ISS and being written to the browser?  Such that the link in the page would say www.abc.com/index.cfm and that is the link a search engine would see.

No, ISAPI_Rewrite can not do that. LinkFreeze can, but it could use only a limited number of transformation schemes.
